Colored Cowhorse Ranch

Lil, pictured above at the age of 3, is a home raised buttermilk buckskin foundation bred AQHA mare.  She was born here in Nevada on Jan.21, 2007.  Her sire is Docs Producer Leo (see his page...listed on the right) and her dam was Leo Bar Lily. 

Lil was sold as a two year old to a friend in Fallon and was started under saddle very nicely.  My friend decided to cut back and asked if I wanted to purchase Lil back....which I was delighted to do. 

In the spring of 2010 Lil came home and has been taken out several times for rides.  She's very good but does need more time under saddle.  She becomes best buddies with every horse she sees which can be a bit distracting while riding.  She was also bred in 2010 to Ima Streakin Doc (see his page listed on the right) for a possible black, bay, buckskin or smokey black foal that will be either solid or tobiano marked in the spring of 2011.

On May 5, 2011, Lil delivered a solid Paint, a lovely buckskin colt with three stockings, a star, strip and snip and the spitting image of his mother.  She's an excellent mom and raising a nice friendly foal. 

 Update....colt is sold.  Lil is open and tentatively for sale....if not sold by spring of '12 she will be bred to Double Down Delta for a tobiano, chestnut, palomino, bay, buckskin, black or smokey black in spring of '13.
