Another of the well bred mares here, Holly is a QH mare, a rich bay with a diagonal blaze and a couple socks.  She's a bit of a prankster as she'll spy an open gate in a heartbeat, scoot through and then wander around not more than 50 feet away....until you drive the truck with the hay for breakfast further into the field....suddenly there she is, back through the gate and wanting to eat.   

Holly came here from Iowa and is a sweet mare, kind and gentle.  She's the very first horse actually touched by my grandson who had never been near a real horse until his visit here from Ohio in the fall of '11.  

I'm still not sure which one of them was the more curious......

This kind of gentle curiousness in a mare is worth its weight in gold.....and I'm so happy to see it in such a nice mare. 

Plans are to breed Holly in the spring of '12 to Double Down Delta for a bay or chestnut tobiano foal in the spring of '13.....with a very solid working pedigree.
